About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own a meaningful slice of Brand Expedia’s lodging customer experience, from discovery through booking and arrival
  • Design and deliver lodging experiences for families, Expedia’s highest-value traveler segment
  • Shape how travelers find and book stays across the journey from first search to front door
  • Develop deep empathy for traveler segments and understand search behavior, anxiety, abandonment, and trust drivers
  • Use customer advocacy data, user research, competitive intelligence, and behavioral data to understand customers
  • Translate customer insight into an opinionated product roadmap balancing immediate friction reduction with longer-term differentiated experiences
  • Partner with Experience Design to craft coherent end-to-end experiences across search, property detail, checkout, and post-booking
  • Drive experimentation by developing hypotheses, defining success metrics, and making ship, iterate, or stop decisions
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies and communicate trade-offs across platform, engineering, analytics, and senior stakeholders
  • Apply AI/ML thinking to discovery, content relevance, and personalization in safe, measurable, customer-focused ways
  • Drive execution through influence in a high-ownership, matrixed organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in B2C product management with a bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of relevant professional experience with a master’s degree
  • Equivalent professional experience may substitute for the stated degree requirement
  • Experience owning consumer-facing product areas across their full lifecycle, from customer discovery through scaled rollout, with measurable business outcomes
  • Strong customer intuition and ability to translate traveler problems into product decisions
  • Experience designing experiments, defining guardrails, interpreting A/B results including inconclusive results, and making data-informed decisions
  • Track record of shipping work through cross-functional platform, design, analytics, and engineering teams without direct management authority
  • Experience partnering closely with design on coherent end-to-end user experiences
  • Preferred: experience in online travel, lodging, or a comparable consumer marketplace
  • Preferred: familiarity with consumer search, detail pages, booking flows, and transaction-confidence drivers
  • Preferred: familiarity with personalization, recommendation systems, or AI-powered search
  • Preferred: comfort working in a matrixed, platform-dependent organization
  • Preferred: ability to produce clear PRDs, executive-facing narratives, and decision documents
