About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own current OIC + Oracle Financial Gateway implementation: assess health, optimize performance, and ensure production stability.
  • Define the roadmap for extending the platform to cover new transactional accounting use‑cases
  • Collaborate with finance SMEs, data‑engineers, and product owners to capture functional requirements and translate them into integration patterns.
  • Set standards for integration design, testing, monitoring, and documentation across the finance PaaS stack.
  • Mentor junior engineers and act as the go‑to oracle‑PaaS subject matter expert within the broader engineering org.
  • Build observability & operability— logging, monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation/completeness checks; partner with operations on runbooks and supportability.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) – end‑to‑end design, deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning of integrations.
  • Oracle Financial Gateway (or an equivalent Oracle Finance middleware) – deep hands‑on experience configuring, securing, and troubleshooting the service.
  • Java / Spring Boot (or comparable JVM‑based backend) – building the service layer that consumes/publishes to OIC.
  • SQL / PL‑SQL – writing performant queries, stored procedures, and data‑validation logic for financial data.
  • CI/CD & Infra‑as‑Code – GitHub Actions / Jenkins pipelines, Docker + Kubernetes (or OCI container engine), Terraform/OCI Resource Manager.
  • Strong analytical ability to translate accounting use‑cases into robust integration flows.
  • Performance & reliability mindset— designing for volume growth, monitoring, error recovery, and reprocessing.
  • Experience with other PaaS integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, or Google Cloud Workflows.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials or Oracle EBS Finance modules – understanding underlying data models helps with mapping.
  • Event‑driven architectures – Kafka, Pulsar, or OCI Streaming for real‑time accounting events.
  • NoSQL data stores (Cassandra, DynamoDB, OCI NoSQL) for audit logs or high‑speed lookup tables.
  • Advanced security/compliance knowledge – OAuth 2.0/OIDC, mutual TLS, SOX/PCI controls for financial data.
  • Oracle Cloud certifications— OIC Developer, OCI Architect, or Oracle Financials Cloud.
  • Automation testing frameworks for integration flows
  • Infrastructure monitoring & alerting
