About the role
- Develop and execute global tax strategy to minimize tax risk and maximize cash flow.
- Prepare the quarterly and annual income tax provision, including footnote disclosures and related memorandum.
- Manage U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance.
- Maintain documentation, schedules, and controls supporting tax reporting and compliance.
- Manage transfer pricing documentation, R&D tax credit claims, and Section 174 analysis.
- Manage international tax planning and M&A-related tax analysis and structuring when applicable.
- Monitor global tax developments and assess their potential impact on the company.
- Help design and implement scalable tax processes to support a growing business.
- Collaborate with FP&A and Legal on intercompany matters.
- Act as the in-house tax expert and manage the relationship with the auditor’s tax team.
Requirements
- CPA required.
- 7+ years of tax experience, including direct experience preparing the tax provision at a public company.
- Strong understanding of U.S. corporate tax and international tax.
- Comfortable working independently and managing third-party providers.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Effective communicator in a fully remote environment.
- Big Four public accounting or tax advisory experience (preferred).
- Master’s degree in Tax or relevant graduate degree (preferred).
- Experience with tax structuring or due diligence for M&A (preferred).
- Interest or experience in digital asset taxation (preferred).
