Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and architects to shape solution approaches for business problems
Translate business needs into product capabilities, workflows, and technical requirements
Participate in solution design, system design, and business architecture discussions
Break down features into implementable user stories and tasks
Facilitate requirement discovery sessions, backlog grooming, and sprint planning
Clarify business rules, edge cases, and integration scenarios during development cycles
Support development and QA teams by validating requirements, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios
Ensure product capabilities align with customer experience and business objectives
Assist with new client interfaces and integrations, and maintain and enhance existing systems
Capture and maintain user stories, workflows, and functional specifications
Maintain organized, traceable product documentation, backlog hygiene, and requirement traceability
Identify opportunities to improve product functionality, operational efficiency, and customer experience
Participate in retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS / BE / MCA / MBA / PGDM
4 to 8 years overall experience
At least 4 years as a Business Analyst working with a Development Team
Ability to translate business problems into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Foundational understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance concepts or willingness to learn quickly
Basic understanding of Agile delivery concepts, including Scrum and Kanban
Exposure to JIRA or similar work-item tracking tools
Conceptual awareness of system integrations, APIs, and XML / JSON data exchanges
Basic SQL knowledge and ability to write simple queries or analyze datasets with guidance
Foundational understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Clear communication skills and ability to ask the right questions
Ability to collaborate across business, QA, and engineering functions
Good time management and organization skills
Ownership mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn continuously
Insurance or IT Business Analysis certification preferred
Exposure to Power BI or other reporting/visualization tools good to have
