About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead requirements elicitation sessions with clients and internal stakeholders to capture business needs, workflows, rules, and functional requirements
Create business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and supporting documentation
Partner with business, product, development, and QA teams to translate requirements into solution designs and implementation plans
Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and solution discussions
Support test planning, test case development, and validation activities
Analyze requirement changes and assess impacts to scope, risk, and effort
Identify and help resolve business and system issues during delivery and post-implementation
Serve as a subject matter resource for new business and underwriting processes within LifePRO implementations
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement across the business analysis function

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information systems, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of experience in business analysis, including writing business requirements and functional specifications
Experience working on medium to large-scale technology or business transformation projects
Strong understanding of requirements management, testing support, stakeholder communication, and solution delivery
Preferred: experience in the life insurance and annuity domain, including new business and underwriting processes
Preferred: hands-on experience with LifePRO or similar policy administration platforms
Preferred: experience facilitating client workshops, process mapping sessions, and cross-functional solution discussions
Preferred: working knowledge of SQL, data analysis, and technical documentation
Preferred: experience with Agile delivery methodologies and supporting distributed or offshore teams
Preferred: experience mentoring junior team members and driving process improvement initiatives
Working knowledge of actuarial concepts and insurance product structures is a plus
