Key responsibilities & impact

Own handling of reinsurance cession statements for captive clients
Perform monthly data balancing and settle reinsurance balances
Make financial adjustments to the ledger
Perform financial reporting and financial systems conversions
Conduct monthly reconciliations and monthly/quarterly analytics
Perform accounting functions to produce accurate and timely financial statements and related reports for senior management
Assist with ad hoc departmental projects
Apply knowledge of the reinsurance FP&A process, accounting policies, compliance, and reconciliation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree / graduate in Commerce
Master's in accounting/finance or qualified/semi-qualified accountant preferred or required as listed
9–12 years of relevant experience
Approximately 10 years' experience in insurance/reinsurance processes
In-depth knowledge of the reinsurance FP&A process
Understanding of accounting policies, compliance, and reconciliation
Knowledge and expertise in Power BI and Alteryx preferred
Proficient in verbal and written communication
