About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set the technical direction for frontend and fullstack engineers and make foundational technology and design decisions
- Own end-to-end technical architecture for the product frontend and API layer
- Define multi-tenant frontend architecture, routing, lazy loading, shared components, design-system governance, and tenant-specific rendering
- Architect HITL worklists, exception dashboards, connector configuration, approval screens, and visual field-mapping interfaces
- Define backend REST API contracts, versioning, error handling, pagination, and platform-service integrations
- Own DynamoDB application data modelling, access patterns, single-table design, GSI strategy, partition keys, and query optimisation
- Design real-time data architecture using WebSockets or SSE, including connection management and event fan-out
- Define AWS infrastructure for frontend and API layers across development, staging, and production
- Lead architecture and code reviews, set coding standards, and review critical pull requests
- Define API contracts with Agentic Architect and backend platform engineers to ensure loose coupling and testability
- Collaborate with client technical stakeholders on solutioning, delivery, SSO requirements, network policies, and reusable design
- Define and validate non-functional requirements for performance, latency, availability, and security
- Mentor frontend and fullstack engineers through ADRs, design sessions, and engineering standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree
- 8–10 years of fullstack engineering experience, including at least 4 years in a technical lead or architect role
- Deep expertise in React or Angular with TypeScript, component architecture, performance optimisation, Redux/NgRx, and large-scale application structuring
- Strong backend API design and development skills in Node.js or Python, including RESTful APIs, middleware, API Gateway, and Lambda
- Deep DynamoDB/NoSQL knowledge, including single-table design, access-pattern modelling, GSI strategy, partition-key design, and optimisation
- Solid AWS architecture experience with CloudFront, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, Cognito, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and X-Ray
- Ability to implement infrastructure using AWS CDK or Terraform
- Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS frontend architectures, tenant isolation, configuration rendering, RBAC, and component reuse
- Strong experience with WebSockets, SSE, connection lifecycle management, and scalable server-side event delivery
- Experience defining frontend standards, component libraries, design systems, coding conventions, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience building data-intensive enterprise UIs, dashboards, data grids, approval workflows, and complex form validation
- Ability to produce architecture documentation, lead design reviews, and explain decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to remain hands-on through reference implementations, engineer support, and validation through working code
