About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work directly with the client and play a critical role in shaping how credit decisions, portfolio performance, and risk-adjusted revenue decisions are made
- Work on the full credit lifecycle from strategy and pricing to portfolio health and performance, ensuring the risk approach supports sustainable growth and strong financial outcomes
- Directly influence profitability, capital efficiency, and long-term scalability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in credit risk with direct ownership of portfolio performance
- 3+ years in a director-level or higher leadership role managing teams
- Strong experience in small business lending, alternative finance, Merchant Cash Advances or non-prime environments preferred
- Proven track record of making credit and pricing decisions with measurable business impact
- Experience operating at an executive level with strong cross-functional influence
- Deep expertise in portfolio management, pricing strategy, and unit economics
- Strong understanding of underwriting processes, credit policy design, and segmentation strategies
- Ability to interpret and challenge analytics outputs without direct model development ownership
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL and BI tools for data interpretation
- Familiarity with credit decisioning systems, data vendors, and fraud tools
- Experience leveraging data to inform strategy, stress testing, and scenario planning
