About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Current report usage and identify "must-have" vs. "nice-to-have" features
- Extract and document fragmented business rules, calculation logic, and KPIs from legacy systems for the Tech Lead to codify.
- Identify missing data elements and transformation gaps from a functional perspective, assessing how they impact business decision-making.
- Collaborate with business users to define reporting hierarchies and attribute mappings that reflect current organizational needs.
- Design UAT ensuring that the reconstructed foundation and new dashboards meet business accuracy standards.
- Assist the Tech Lead and onshore stakeholders in ranking deliverables based on business urgency and ROI.
- Create documentation and training materials to help users transition from the Tableau interface to the new Power BI environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in data modelling or data analysis.
- Deep understanding of BI lifecycles, specifically regarding migration projects and data visualization best practices.
- Expert in advanced SQL queries to perform independent data profiling and validation without relying solely on the engineering team.
- Proficiency in creating detailed data mapping documents (Source-to-Target) and functional requirement specifications (FRS).
- Familiarity with both Tableau and Power BI interfaces to understand the functional differences users will face.
