About the role

  • Schedule and perform on-site surveys/inspections for insurance industry clients
  • Provide risk control reports containing underwriting information and recommendations to control/correct potential loss-producing conditions
  • Manage assignments you accept and secure customer appointments within a local territory
  • Evaluate commercial businesses to identify hazards and improve safety
  • Survey commercial operations including retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments, construction jobsites, churches, schools, etc.
  • Assess businesses for Property and General Liability coverage and other commercial lines (Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine, Builders Risk)

Requirements

  • Preferred experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim, loss control, underwriting, and/or fire and safety experience is a plus
  • In lieu of experience, referral to a 15-hour online certification option to qualify
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Commitment to meeting client quality and timeliness standards
  • Tools/items you must provide: Digital camera or tablet; Computer; Printer; High speed internet access; Reliable vehicle; Measuring device such as a laser, 100 ft. tape, or measuring wheel; Auto and General Liability Insurance
  • Ability to schedule and secure customer appointments within a local territory
  • Ability to manage and complete assignments on time
