Mentor and inspire Home Health auditors through 1:1 and group training sessions
Develop and maintain engaging training materials, online modules, and interactive guides
Evaluate training effectiveness, identify knowledge gaps, and implement creative solutions
Conduct employee assessments and track growth over time
Provide timely, constructive coaching to boost performance and compliance
Perform medical record audits to verify documentation accuracy and service alignment
Ensure audits are consistent, clearly documented, and findings are well-articulated
Compile detailed reports and maintain audit logs
Drive productivity, quality, and internal savings goals
Respond proactively to communications and collaborate across teams
Participate in team meetings, brainstorms, and calibration sessions
Identify and report issues affecting audit processes or provider performance
Stay up to date with CMS/Chapter 7 Home Health Coverage Guidelines, National Coverage Guidelines and HH PPS Reimbursement
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by attending training and sharing insights
Bring new ideas to the table to evolve training and auditing processes
Requirements
RN with a license in good standing in the state that you reside.
5+ years home health experience
OASIS certification and/or coding certification preferred but not mandatory.
Previous experience in corporate training, clinical auditing, or utilization review
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Encoder tools (Optum, TrueCode, 3M, Webstrat)
Experience, or equivalent, coding or auditing of Home Health OASIS and non-OASIS claims
Ability to review SOC/ROC/Recert assessments to ensure appropriateness, completeness, and compliance with federal and state regulations and organization policy.
Ability to ensure appropriate ICD-10 coding and sequencing as it relates to the patient’s medical condition.
Knowledge of CMS/Chapter 7 Home Health Coverage Guidelines, National Coverage Guidelines, and HH PPS Reimbursement
Ability to pinpoint, extract, and use record information to cite issues related to overpayment.
