About the role

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex **SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and packages** in Oracle
  • Build, maintain, and enhance **ETL processes** to ingest, transform, and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources
  • Support database-driven **marketing campaigns**, including audience selection, segmentation, suppression logic, and tracking
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across large, high-volume datasets
  • Collaborate with marketing, analytics, and data science teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Tune SQL and database processes for performance and scalability
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data models, ETL workflows, and business rules
  • Provide production support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for data issues
  • Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in SQL development and data engineering

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a **SQL Developer**, with significant hands-on **Oracle** experience
  • Advanced proficiency in **Oracle SQL and PL/SQL**
  • Strong experience designing and maintaining **ETL pipelines** (custom SQL-based ETL)
  • Experience working with **large-scale relational databases** and complex data models
  • Solid understanding of **database marketing concepts**, such as customer data, segmentation, campaign targeting, and response tracking
  • Strong performance tuning and query optimization skills
  • Experience with data quality validation and reconciliation
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in **marketing, CRM, loyalty, or customer analytics** environments
  • Familiarity with data warehouse concepts
  • Exposure to cloud-based data platforms or hybrid environments
  • Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or other supporting languages a plus
  • Experience mentoring technical teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and reliability
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
