About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Follow every aspect of SOP without fail
- Complete received audits with quality
- Achieve quality and production targets
- Follow project-related protocols and instructions
- Escalate issues and identify trends
- Update productivity, clarification, and other applicable logs daily
- Check with the Manager/Team Lead regarding clarifications
- Respond promptly to all Manager emails
- Apply problem-solving skills
- Ensure entire-team compliance with HIPAA and OIG requirements
- Perform surgery coding for multi-specialty outpatient cases, including IVR and General Surgery
- Attend mandatory in-office training
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree / Life science or Paramedical Degree
- CPC certification; CPMA listed
- Mandatory 3+ years of experience after certification
- Overall 3+ years of coding experience
- 3+ years of multi-specialty outpatient surgery coding experience, including IVR and General Surgery
- Specialty experience in outpatient surgery
- APC facility coding familiarity is an added advantage
- Computer skill sets/proficiency
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to understand and adhere to telecommuter policy
- Ability to work 40 hours per week as a full-time employee
- Availability for 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM IST shift
- High-speed broadband internet connection at home
- Auditing and denial management experience is optional
- Good flexibility and reliability
