About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct virtual and onsite inspections of high value homes and small businesses for personal and commercial lines insurance companies
- Analyze replacement cost value and assess risk
- Demonstrate professionalism and expertise to agents, policyholders, business assistants, and other stakeholders
- Complete the requisite number of surveys each month to achieve personal revenue production goals
- Complete other special projects as assigned by the manager
- Conduct property surveys on high value homes, documenting construction materials, workmanship, and special features
- Determine home square footage through detailed measurements or available building plans
- Generate replacement cost estimates using industry calculators, EXL resources, and personal findings
- Assess physical, liability, wildfire, hurricane, and other natural hazards; document hazards and recommend risk improvements
- Conduct underwriting surveys and loss control assessments on commercial businesses
- Evaluate Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, and Auto/Fleet risks
- Discuss safety culture, loss history, risk management controls, and safety program maturity with business owners
- Complete detailed survey reports with narrative assessments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree
- High-degree of professionalism and emotional intelligence
- Strong analytical skills and resourcefulness
- Solid aptitude for risk assessment and replacement cost
- Excellent written and oral communications
- Proficiency with computer equipment and software
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and handle time sensitive urgencies
- Willingness to travel
- High Value Survey or Commercial Survey experience appreciated
