About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and build Ab Initio-based applications across Data Integration, Governance, and Quality domains
- Design and build Ab Initio graphs, continuous and batch processes, Conduct>it Plans, and integrations with Ab Initio software
- Build Web-Service and RESTful graphs and create RAML or Swagger documentation
- Work with Metadata Hub metamodels and OOB import feeds
- Build graphs interfacing with Oracle, Snowflake, Hadoop, Hive, and AWS S3
- Build application configurations for Express>It frameworks, including Acquire>It, Spec-To-Graph, and Data Quality Assessment
- Build CI/CD automation pipelines integrating Testing Framework, JUnit, Jenkins, JIRA, and/or ServiceNow
- Build Query>It data sources for data cataloguing
- Parse XML, JSON, and YAML documents
- Implement data acquisition and transformation/curation requirements in data lake or warehouse environments
- Build Control Center jobs and schedules for process orchestration
- Build BRE rulesets for reformat, rollup, and validation use cases
- Build SQL scripts, perform performance tuning, relational model analysis, and data migrations
- Identify graph performance bottlenecks and optimize them
- Engineer Ab Initio code in accordance with interoperability, performance, compliance, and client IT governance requirements
- Build regression and functional test cases and write user manuals
- Conduct bug fixing, code reviews, and unit, functional, and integration testing
- Participate in agile development and document and communicate data-standard issues and bugs
- Develop analytic applications with data engineers using Hadoop, NoSQL, and in-memory data grids
- Collaborate with technical leads, senior solution engineers, and application managers to build, roll out, and support production environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (such as Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design, build and deployment of Ab Initio-based applications
- Expertise in handling complex large-scale Data Lake and Warehouse environments
- Hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries
- Experience exporting and importing large amounts of data using utilities
- Excellent verbal communication skills
