About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead data analysis projects and provide strategic insights
- Design complex data science and machine learning models
- Mentor junior data scientists and ensure analytical work quality
- Work closely with business leaders to understand needs and deliver actionable insights
- Develop and maintain advanced Python-based Generative AI applications with high performance, reliability, and scalability
- Implement and optimize Generative AI models including GPT, LLAMA, Mistral, and FLAN T5
- Develop advanced RAG pipelines with embeddings, indexing, chunking, reranking, prompts, and evaluation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI functionality into broader systems and applications
- Use AWS, Azure, and Databricks GPU machines to manage GPU memory and maximize performance
- Stay current with Generative AI, Python development, and cloud service advancements
- Assist delivery leads in delivering Generative AI solutions to clients on time and ensuring client satisfaction and project success
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (CS, machine learning, mathematics, statistics) or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in data science, building hands-on ML models
- Awareness of the evolution of NLP from traditional language models to modern large language models
- Experience with training data creation, training setup, and fine-tuning
- Knowledge of advanced RAG pipelines, including embeddings, indexing, chunking, reranking, prompts, and evaluation
- Excellent Python programming skills
- Strong working knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Jupyter, and related numerical, data analysis, or AI frameworks
- SQL skills with SQL Server and Spark experience preferred but not necessary
- Knowledge of predictive/prescriptive analytics, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, deep learning, and artificial neural networks
- Experience with NLP using NLTK and text analytics for information extraction, parsing, and topic modeling
- Excellent verbal and written communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or Databricks preferred
- Bachelor's/Master's in Engineering; 5–8 years
- 6+ years of experience as an NLP and Python developer
- Fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and systems
- Ability to integrate multiple data sources into a single system
- Familiarity with testing tools
- Working knowledge of GitHub and Jira
- Ability to document requirements and specifications
