About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support US Federal Tax accounting and reporting processes
- Support ASC 740 tax provision calculations
- Prepare and analyze book-to-tax adjustments
- Provide financial reporting support, including journal entries, footnotes, and reconciliations
- Perform quarterly and annual tax provision calculations under GAAP/STAT
- Support federal tax compliance and Return to Provision analysis
- Document processes and prepare SOPs
- Identify and drive process improvements and automation opportunities
- Collaborate effectively with onshore stakeholders
- Work in a deadline-driven environment, particularly during close
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate/postgraduate with experience in Insurance & Finance
- 4–7 years of experience in US Corporate Tax
- Strong understanding and prior experience of ASC 740 / US GAAP tax accounting and financial reporting, including journal entries, footnotes, and reconciliations
- Experience with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations (GAAP/STAT)
- Federal tax compliance basics, including Return to Provision analysis
- Understanding of book-versus-tax differences
- Experience with OneSource and SAP preferred
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in process documentation and preparation of SOPs
- Excellent analytical skills and logical reasoning
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment, especially during close
