About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and cloud-native solutions
  • Lead technical design discussions, establish architectural standards, and guide engineering teams
  • Develop and support Python applications and RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks
  • Build and maintain microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures for high-volume business processes
  • Design, optimize, and support cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform
  • Implement Docker-containerized applications and orchestrate deployments through Kubernetes (GKE)
  • Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver technical solutions
  • Design and support Kafka or similar streaming and messaging solutions
  • Develop scalable data processing solutions using BigQuery, BigTable, and SQL-based platforms
  • Ensure application reliability, performance, security, observability, and operational excellence through monitoring and optimization
  • Design, implement, and operationalize Generative AI solutions, including LLM-powered applications, RAG, and AI agent workflows
  • Integrate enterprise applications with Vertex AI, Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, or similar platforms
  • Perform code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote software engineering best practices
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement in architecture, automation, development processes, and engineering standards
  • Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and support strategic technology initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including designing and supporting enterprise-scale applications
  • 2+ years serving as a Technical Lead, Sr Engineer, or equivalent technical leadership role
  • Strong expertise in Python application development and modern API frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar technologies
  • Experience designing and implementing microservices, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native application development
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (GKE)
  • Hands-on experience with Docker/containerization
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience with GitHub and modern source control practices
  • Experience developing and supporting event-driven and streaming solutions using Kafka or similar messaging platforms
  • Experience with BigQuery, BigTable, SQL, and large-scale data processing solutions
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, system reliability, performance optimization, and observability
  • Hands-on experience implementing and operationalizing Generative AI solutions, LLMs, RAG, AI agents and agentic AI workflows, prompt engineering, and model evaluation frameworks
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications with AI platforms such as Gemini, Vertex AI, OpenAI, Claude, or similar technologies
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and production support skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
