About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and develop new machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) models
- Design, train, and implement ML and deep learning architectures
- Establish evaluation metrics, analyze performance, brainstorm future steps and expansion, and perform exploratory data analysis and data visualization
- Build multi-feature ML classification models for various clinical programs and clients
- Design and develop NLP models for unstructured medical records to improve in-house algorithms
- Oversee delivery of results with analytic insights, interpretations, and recommendations
- Review analytic deliverables, identify and resolve data issues, and recommend investigations
- Design, develop, evolve, and implement processes and procedures ensuring compliance with governance policies
- Propose state-of-the-art technologies and processes to improve efficiency and enhance the reporting platform
- Work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative technical field plus 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a related occupation
- Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree in one of the listed fields plus 5 years of experience in lieu of a Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience
- At least 3 years of experience building machine learning/NLP models, or at least 5 years under the bachelor’s alternative
- Experience building and deploying ML classification models using Python, TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-Learn, and PyTorch
- Experience with statistics, segmentation, clustering, linear and logistic predictive models, Random Forest, and Ensemble models
- Experience with distributed data warehouses or data lakes
- Experience with cloud databases
- Experience building and implementing neural networks and deep learning models
- Experience performing statistical analysis, data exploration, and data visualization using Python, NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib
- Experience gathering, preprocessing, and compiling data from various sources using SQL
- Availability for 40 hours/week, 9:00am–5:00pm
