About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications
- Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Develop responsive web applications using Angular or React
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and third-party services
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
- Troubleshoot application issues and optimize application performance
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and development teams
- Implement automated unit, integration, and API testing
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and technical design discussions
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6–12 years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Core Java and Java 8/11/17+
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and REST APIs
- Experience with Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle
- Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, SonarQube, or similar tools
- Good understanding of Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of the insurance domain
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps preferred
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms is good to have
- Experience with Redis or caching technologies is good to have
- Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and application security is good to have
- Knowledge of Python is preferred
- Experience in cloud-native application development is good to have
- Experience mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance is good to have
