About the role

  • Manage the full product lifecycle for implants, instruments, biological products, and related literature, with direct ownership of several larger product lines
  • Conduct market research and competitive product analysis to inform strategic decisions
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans, including pricing strategies, tactical initiatives, and implementation oversight
  • Lead product training program development and delivery, including module creation and field education
  • Support field sales through training, field visits, case coverage, and timely communication of product updates and sales support materials
  • Build and maintain relationships with leading orthopedic surgeons and clinical staff to identify needs and gather insights, in accordance with all legal and ethical guidelines
  • Assist in the formation of product design teams by identifying surgeon partners, coordinating input, managing legal contracts, and collaborating cross-functionally in alignment with company ethics and compliance standards
  • Lead planning and forecasting of product sample inventory
  • Serve on project teams to support new product development initiatives
  • Provide technical and marketing expertise to internal teams, agents, representatives, and surgeons to drive improved patient outcomes
  • Contribute ideas and solutions to key team and departmental challenges, assuming leadership roles as needed
  • Ensure knowledge and application of the Quality Management System and all applicable federal and international regulatory standards
  • Support field follow-up on regulatory issues as needed
  • Collaborate with and support colleagues, cross-functional teams, and sales personnel as required
  • Take on additional projects as assigned by business unit leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in marketing/product management in the orthopedic joint reconstruction field (ideally related to his/her product line).
  • Organizational & interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of windows-based office productivity tools including word processor and spreadsheet.
  • Ability to meet the medical requirements to gain entry into individual hospitals and hospital systems as needed to observe surgical procedures.
  • Ability to travel 30-40% of job.
