Act as a specialist consultant for business and technology stakeholders, ensuring ILM is incorporated into corporate data governance initiatives.
Define the design, implementation, and management of the lifecycle for SAP ILM-based solutions with a focus on data retention and deletion.
Define and document ILM policies, retention rules, and legal hold procedures in compliance with global regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, LGPD, SOX).
Advise Data Owners and compliance officers on how to categorize data and establish retention periods by data type (master, transactional, documents).
Configure ILM objects, policies, and rules in SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments.
Implement ILM Store configuration and integration with WebDAV-compatible repositories.
Monitor ILM execution and provide auditable reports on data retention and deletion activities.
Requirements
Experience with SAP ILM, with proven expertise in data retention and deletion strategies.
Hands-on experience configuring SAP ILM in MDG and S/4HANA TM environments.
Solid understanding of SAP data structures, including master data (e.g., BUT000, MARA), transactional data (e.g., BKPF, VBRK), and document management (e.g., ArchiveLink).
Familiarity with SAP ILM components: Retention Management, Legal Hold, ILM Store, and Data Destruction.
Experience with compliance frameworks and legal data retention requirements (GDPR, LGPD, HIPAA).
Excellent communication and facilitation skills between business and technical teams.
Fluency in English.
