About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply redlines, markups, and engineering input to update and refine project drawings with a high level of accuracy.
  • Perform drafting tasks including annotations, notes, labeling, and linework with increasing independence.
  • Support and contribute to the development of structural drawing sets, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Apply EVS CAD standards including layer management, title blocks, scaling, and plan set organization.
  • Maintain organized project folders and drawing files, ensuring consistency with company standards.
  • Follow file naming conventions, XREF protocols, and version control best practices.
  • Participate in QA/QC processes, including Bluebeam review sessions and implementing feedback.
  • Assist with printing, plotting, and exporting drawing packages for internal and client deliverables.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to support 2D drafting and plan set development.
  • Follow established workflows while beginning to identify efficiencies and improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and translate them into drawings.
  • Gain working knowledge of structural and solar project elements including equipment layouts, foundation details, and pile plans.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in CAD, drafting, or a related field, or equivalent technical certification (e.g., Autodesk Civil 3D)
  • 2+ years of experience using AutoCAD in a professional setting (Civil 3D exposure is a plus)
  • Experience working with drawing sets, redlines, and standard drafting practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality in drafting.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Curiosity and a proactive mindset with a desire to continue developing technical skills.
