About the role

  • **What You’ll Do**
  • As a Principal Software Engineer at Evolve Security, you’ll take full ownership of building, shaping, and supporting the software that powers our cybersecurity solutions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will:
  • - Design, code, and debug production-ready software
  • - Improve the performance and reliability of existing systems
  • - Mentor and train other engineers to help them grow
  • - Maintain, enhance, and modernize our software stack
  • - Research and recommend new technologies to boost team productivity
  • - Lead the technical direction and execution of projects
  • - Investigate and resolve software issues to ensure top-notch performance
  • - Collaborate regularly with the team—sharing ideas, discussing roadmaps, and solving challenges

Requirements

  • **What We’re Looking For**
  • We’re searching for a builder—someone who thrives in a small, fast-moving team and takes end-to-end ownership. Ideal candidates will bring:
  • - **Significant hands-on development experience** (this is not an entry-level role)
  • - A passion for working in a small team where you own the entire lifecycle: development, delivery, maintenance, and customer experience
  • - Cybersecurity experience (a plus, but not required)
  • - Experience developing automated attack surface management software (a strong bonus, not required)
  • - Familiarity using LLM-powered tooling (Cursor, Grok Code, Claude Sonnet, etc.) to work smarter and faster
  • - Authorization to work in the U.S. (we cannot sponsor visas)
