About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supporting underground development and production crews with materials handling and mine services activities
Transporting personnel, tools, equipment and consumables throughout the underground operation
Assisting with vent bag installation, service extensions and general underground support tasks
Performing manual labour and physically demanding work in a safe and productive manner
Maintaining high housekeeping standards across the underground environment
Conducting pre-start inspections and ensuring equipment is operated safely and efficiently
Identifying and reporting potential hazards
Working collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve production targets
Learning underground mining processes and developing your skills through on-the-job training

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience working in physically demanding environments such as farming, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, transport, warehousing or heavy industry
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to perform labor-intensive work in challenging conditions
Commitment to working safely and following procedures
Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team
Comfortable working in a hands-on environment
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
A valid manual driver's licence
Currently located within the Goldfields region or willing to relocate
