About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Strengthen Northparkes’ safety culture by influencing leaders and teams to proactively identify, manage and reduce risk across the operation.
- Lead and mentor Health and Safety Advisors, building capability and ensuring consistent implementation of the Northparkes HSE Management System.
- Drive compliance and continuous improvement by maintaining HSE systems, audit programs, inspections and reporting processes that meet legislative and company requirements.
- Support operational and project teams with practical health, safety and risk management advice that enables safe and productive outcomes.
- Deliver meaningful insights through investigations, audits and risk assessments, helping leaders make informed decisions and prevent incidents before they occur.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Certificate IV or tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety (or a related discipline), coupled with significant relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading safety, risk and compliance initiatives within a mining, heavy industry or similar operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management methodologies, HSE management systems and incident investigation processes.
- ICAM Facilitator qualification (highly regarded)
- Return to Work Coordinator certification. (desirable)
