About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Strengthen Northparkes’ safety culture by influencing leaders and teams to proactively identify, manage and reduce risk across the operation.
Lead and mentor Health and Safety Advisors, building capability and ensuring consistent implementation of the Northparkes HSE Management System.
Drive compliance and continuous improvement by maintaining HSE systems, audit programs, inspections and reporting processes that meet legislative and company requirements.
Support operational and project teams with practical health, safety and risk management advice that enables safe and productive outcomes.
Deliver meaningful insights through investigations, audits and risk assessments, helping leaders make informed decisions and prevent incidents before they occur.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Certificate IV or tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety (or a related discipline), coupled with significant relevant industry experience.
Demonstrated experience leading safety, risk and compliance initiatives within a mining, heavy industry or similar operational environment.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management methodologies, HSE management systems and incident investigation processes.
ICAM Facilitator qualification (highly regarded)
Return to Work Coordinator certification. (desirable)
