About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leading and supervising underground crews to safely achieve production targets across development activities
- Planning and executing the 24-hour operational plan, adjusting in real-time to keep things moving
- Monitoring performance, identifying delays, and driving practical solutions to keep production on track
- Setting the standard on safety where you will be running pre-starts, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all requirements
- Owning shift reporting, including production results, delays, and incident management
- Leading small crews day-to-day, allocating work, holding people accountable, and lifting standards
- Coaching and developing your team to strengthen capability and build a high-performing crew
- Challenging behaviours and influencing positive change in culture, attitude, and performance across the shift
Requirements
What you’ll need- Western Australia Underground Shift Supervisor Ticket
- Strong underground mining experience (minimum ~7 years)
- Exposure to continuous improvement or culture change initiatives
- Previous supervisory or strong step-up leadership experience
- A practical understanding of underground development, equipment, and operational requirements
- The ability to plan, prioritise, and keep a crew aligned to production goals
- A strong safety mindset — you lead it, enforce it, and live it
- Clear, direct communication and the confidence to have the tough conversations
- A genuine drive to influence culture, build team cohesion, and improve attitudes on shift
