About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintaining and testing emergency response equipment and systems
- Training and supporting Emergency Response Team (ERT) members
- Leading and assisting during emergency situations
- Providing first aid and pre-hospital care when required
- Managing site medical facilities and equipment
- Monitoring site security and assisting with access control
- Conducting drug and alcohol testing and managing results
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in emergency response within an underground mining environment
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
- Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance) or higher
- C Class Driver’s Licence (HR licence preferred)
- Certificate to Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours.
