About the role
- Develop analytic tools and assist in pricing specialty risk products
- Complemented by monthly reserve management for key clients
- Perform financial analyses to support key partners
- Perform data analyses and financial simulations to support leadership’s pursuit of new specialty business
- Assist in the development of underlying pricing assumptions
- Develop actuarial models for use across multiple teams and projects
- Streamline processes to improve efficiency of key deliverables
- Communicate actuarial concepts and concerns within actuarial department
- Play a key role in Evolent’s future partnerships to change the way healthcare is delivered
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics or related degree
- Candidates must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of one actuarial exam
- Strong technical skills required in Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders
- Reliable, takes initiative, and manages competing deadlines
- Desires to work on challenging projects for a high-growth organization
- Works collaboratively and pitches in for the greater good of the team
- Is detail-oriented and owns their results
- Past actuarial experience and/or internship (Preferred)
- Familiarity with healthcare analytics (Preferred)
- Ability to read and write SQL and/or SAS code (Preferred)
- Familiarity with PowerQuery/BI/VBA/Python/R (Preferred)
