About the role

  • Electrical System Design - Conceptualization, design and development of electrical systems and components for automotive applications, including power distribution, wiring harnesses and control systems
  • Selection and acquisition of electrical and electronic components such as sensors, actuators, microcontrollers and communication interfaces that meet performance, cost and reliability requirements
  • Testing and validation - Developing and testing protocols to ensure functionality, safety and compliance of electrical systems with industry standards and regulations
  • Integration and compatibility - Ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems with the overall vehicle architecture, working with mechanical and software engineers to resolve compatibility issues
  • Cost-effective design solutions - performed cost analyses and proposals to reduce production costs without compromising quality
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving - Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, malfunctions, and provide timely solutions to maintain vehicle performance and safety
  • Maintain detailed design documents, technical specifications and change logs for all electrical components and systems
  • Striving for continuous improvement, following trends, emerging technologies and best practices and using this knowledge to improve our products

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools for electrical design
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical standards and regulations
  • Expertise in automotive electrical components, including sensors and microcontrollers
  • Familiarity with CAN communication protocols
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
  • Strong project management and teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
