About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage daily field-based activities to support appropriate patient access in key neurology centers and provider offices
  • Execute collaborative territory plan through partnership with internal and external stakeholders, which may include call center services (HUB), sales, market access, and other partners
  • Interact frequently in the field (60-70% of the time) with key stakeholders in multiple sites of care including, physician practices, hospitals, and other sites of care.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in educating healthcare provider staff on approved patient access services
  • Collaborate with various internal field teams to ensure appropriate education in assigned geography
  • Review and educate offices on payer policies such as prior authorization requirements to ensure patient access
  • Review patient-specific information in cases where the site has specifically requested assistance in resolving issues or coverage challenges.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on local payer trends and access issues
  • Perform other duties as required #LI-CG1

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with payer policy and reimbursement
  • Minimum of 3 years benefit verifications and prior-authorization requirement experience or equivalent in patient access, billing and coding - rare disease preferred
  • Knowledge of Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and processes with experience in Medicare Part D
  • Self-direction coupled with strong organizational skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, consultative approach, and customer orientation; proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong communication skills: oral, written, training/presentation
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Must be able to travel up to 60-70% domestically
  • Valid driver’s license to drive to healthcare provider sites
