Key responsibilities & impact

Overseeing accuracy and operations efficiency for the global payroll process
Managing the processing of bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees in multi-state and international environments
Managing global payroll service providers and communicating changes for international employees
Collaborating with HR to support onboarding of new employees and separations in a timely and compliant manner
Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal and tax requirements
Maintaining a customer service approach to company’s employees regarding their pay and payroll process
Supporting preparation of payroll and related journal entries with accounting team
Reconciling payroll account balances as part of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Providing analysis of payroll and related costs to identify trends for accurate reporting
Designing strategies for continuous improvement in payroll operations
Staying current on laws governing reporting of wages, taxation, and other payroll related regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management
At least 12-15 years of multi-state and international payroll experience with a global, multi-national company
High level of familiarity with international payroll and compliance requirements
Proven experience as Senior Manager or other managerial position with experience building a high performing team
Strong understanding of human resources, corporate finance, and measures of performance
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
Hands-on knowledge of payroll/timekeeping systems
Certified Payroll Professional (CCP) preferred
