About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Overseeing accuracy and operations efficiency for the global payroll process
- Managing the processing of bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees in multi-state and international environments
- Managing global payroll service providers and communicating changes for international employees
- Collaborating with HR to support onboarding of new employees and separations in a timely and compliant manner
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal and tax requirements
- Maintaining a customer service approach to company’s employees regarding their pay and payroll process
- Supporting preparation of payroll and related journal entries with accounting team
- Reconciling payroll account balances as part of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Providing analysis of payroll and related costs to identify trends for accurate reporting
- Designing strategies for continuous improvement in payroll operations
- Staying current on laws governing reporting of wages, taxation, and other payroll related regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management
- At least 12-15 years of multi-state and international payroll experience with a global, multi-national company
- High level of familiarity with international payroll and compliance requirements
- Proven experience as Senior Manager or other managerial position with experience building a high performing team
- Strong understanding of human resources, corporate finance, and measures of performance
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Hands-on knowledge of payroll/timekeeping systems
- Certified Payroll Professional (CCP) preferred
