About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Overseeing accuracy and operations efficiency for the global payroll process
  • Managing the processing of bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees in multi-state and international environments
  • Managing global payroll service providers and communicating changes for international employees
  • Collaborating with HR to support onboarding of new employees and separations in a timely and compliant manner
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal and tax requirements
  • Maintaining a customer service approach to company’s employees regarding their pay and payroll process
  • Supporting preparation of payroll and related journal entries with accounting team
  • Reconciling payroll account balances as part of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Providing analysis of payroll and related costs to identify trends for accurate reporting
  • Designing strategies for continuous improvement in payroll operations
  • Staying current on laws governing reporting of wages, taxation, and other payroll related regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management
  • At least 12-15 years of multi-state and international payroll experience with a global, multi-national company
  • High level of familiarity with international payroll and compliance requirements
  • Proven experience as Senior Manager or other managerial position with experience building a high performing team
  • Strong understanding of human resources, corporate finance, and measures of performance
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Hands-on knowledge of payroll/timekeeping systems
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CCP) preferred
