About the role
- Independent feature development from concept to finished product: You receive a goal, for example "We need a dashboard for the Sales team," and deliver the result—database, business logic, and user interface. You think proactively, ask the right questions, and bring features to life end-to-end.
- AI-assisted software development as standard: AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot are not experiments for us but primary tools in daily development. You use them daily and deliberately to develop faster, more efficiently, and with higher quality.
- Further development and optimization of existing software: You not only build new features but also understand existing code, identify improvement opportunities, and strategically evolve existing systems.
- Integration of external systems and interfaces: Many of our features require connecting third-party services—email, calendar, telephony, or payment providers. You design and implement these integrations so they work reliably and are maintainable.
- Designing thoughtful database structures: You understand how business processes translate into clean data models and design database architectures that not only work today but also scale with growing requirements.
- Responsibility for clean, secure, and maintainable code: Quality is not optional. You write code that remains understandable and extensible in two years and ensure technical debt is avoided.
- Independent work with real ownership: We set goals, not step-by-step instructions. You work autonomously, communicate proactively, and propose improvements without waiting for direction.
Requirements
- Impressive personal projects or work results: This is the most important thing for us. No degree or certificate replaces a portfolio that shows you can actually build things. We want to see what you're proud of and which technical challenges you've overcome.
- Demonstrable strong AI workflow: You use AI-coding tools daily and can clearly explain how they improve your development workflow. We’re looking for someone who understands the paradigm shift in software development: away from pure syntax knowledge toward systems thinking and intelligent AI steering.
- Ability to understand business logic and translate it into software: We build (for example) a CRM for sales teams. You must be able to understand why a feature is needed, not just how to implement it technically. If a sales manager needs a pipeline view, you ask the right questions before you start building.
- Quick comprehension and willingness to learn: Tools, frameworks, and best practices constantly change. We want someone who quickly adapts to new things and stays curious rather than doing the same thing for years.
- Initiative and ownership mentality: You take responsibility for your results, think ahead, and don’t wait for someone to tell you the next step.
- Experience with our tech stack (desirable): We work with Next.js/React, TypeScript, and Supabase. Prior experience is a plus but not a requirement. If you understand the underlying principles, you will pick up new tools quickly. Knowledge of Go or Rust, which we use for some more complex microservices, is a nice bonus.
- Cloud experience (desirable): We use multiple cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure. A basic understanding of cloud infrastructure in general is definitely helpful.
- Relevant degree or training (desirable): Education or a degree in computer science, application development, or a related field is welcome. However, career changers with a strong portfolio are equally welcome.
