About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain web applications with PHP and Laravel
Implement new features based on technical requirements and user stories
Build and integrate REST APIs
Work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
Fix bugs and improve existing application functionality
Write clean, understandable, and maintainable code
Support the development of automated tests
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Work with Git-based development workflows
Collaborate with frontend developers, project managers, and other team members
Document work and keep assigned tasks up to date
Gradually take ownership of individual features and application components
Depending on the project, work with Vue.js, JavaScript, Docker, queues, third-party APIs, and automation platforms
Work on real customer and internal software projects with guidance, code reviews, and regular feedback

Requirements

What you’ll need

Approximately one year of practical experience in PHP development
Experience working with Laravel on professional, university, freelance, or personal projects
Understanding of object-oriented programming fundamentals
Experience working with databases and SQL
Understanding of REST APIs and web application architecture basics
Basic experience with Git
Ability to independently understand and complete clearly defined development tasks
Willingness to ask questions when requirements are unclear
Interest in writing clean and maintainable code
Reliability and openness in communicating progress or blockers
Excellent English skills at C1 or C2 level
Based in or near Prishtina and able to work in a hybrid setup
Experience with Vue.js, automated testing, Docker, Linux, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud environments is an advantage, but not required
A university degree is welcome, but not required; practical skills, motivation, and work quality are more important
