About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Owning compliance with worldwide laws applicable to AI, e-commerce platforms
Contracts and assessments required under data protection law, including the GDPR (DPAs, TIAs, etc.)
Preparing, maintaining required compliance documentation, e.g.: Internal documentation under data protection, AI Governance, consumer rights, and similar laws
EverAI’s AI systems inventory (in line with EU guidance)
Risk assessments under applicable safety laws
Product & feature reviews (e.g., for consumer rights, data protection compliance)
Owning day-to-day compliance tasks: Standard IP issues (e.g., DMCA notices, copycats)
Contract reviews (NDAs, licenses)
Legal terms updates (including TOS, Privacy Notices, and content policies)
Tracking, researching, and analyzing relevant legal developments (e.g., the application of new laws or regulatory guidance to EverAI)

Requirements

What you’ll need

Legal education (e.g., Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, recognized legal certification)
2-6 years of experience as legal counsel or similar positions
At least 2 years of your experience must be working with contracts generally, and data protection law specifically.
Experience in applying or interest in learning the legal landscape applicable to B2C companies
Ability to distill complex legal concepts into plain English
Professional experience or interest in AI
Strong communication & collaborative skills (perfectly fluent in English)
Goal-oriented, ownership and commitment
Doer mindset - we are moving fast and need people who can balance execution, planning, and strategy
Humble - willing to learn, open to feedback
Comfortable reviewing and discussing uncensored AI-generated content and NSFW material
