About the role

  • Owning compliance with worldwide laws applicable to AI, e-commerce platforms
  • Contracts and assessments required under data protection law, including the GDPR (DPAs, TIAs, etc.)
  • Preparing, maintaining required compliance documentation
  • Internal documentation under data protection, AI Governance, consumer rights, and similar laws
  • EverAI’s AI systems inventory (in line with EU guidance)
  • Risk assessments under applicable safety laws
  • Product & feature reviews for consumer rights, data protection compliance
  • Owning day-to-day compliance tasks: Standard IP issues (e.g., DMCA notices, copycats), Contract reviews (NDAs, licenses), Legal terms updates (including TOS, Privacy Notices, and content policies)
  • Tracking, researching and analyzing relevant legal developments

Requirements

  • Legal education (e.g., Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, recognized legal certification)
  • 2-6 years of experience as legal counsel or similar positions: At least 2 years must be working with contracts, generally, and data protection law, specifically.
  • Ability to distill complex legal concepts into plain English
  • Interest in AI
  • Strong communication & collaborative skills (perfectly fluent in English)
  • Goal-oriented, ownership and commitment
  • Doer mindset - able to balance execution, planning, and strategy
  • Humble - willing to learn, open to feedback
  • Comfortable reviewing and discussing uncensored AI-generated content and NSFW material
