About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines that enable cross-SYSCOM data sharing and interoperability.
- Collaborate with data owners and system engineers to ensure data governance, security, and compliance with DoD standards.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to provide leadership with actionable insights, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Enable real-time or near–real-time metrics visibility for program execution, technology maturation, and funding alignment.
- Design and implement Phase III transition tracking tools to monitor technology insertion, operational adoption, and program outcomes.
- Analyze transition status, risks, timelines, and return-on-investment metrics to support decision-making across NAVAIR portfolios.
- Apply data science methods (e.g., statistical analysis, trend analysis, pattern recognition) to identify, merging technology trends, program execution patterns, and funding-to-outcome relationships.
- Develop predictive or exploratory models to support forecasting, portfolio alignment, and strategic planning efforts.
- Research and assess new analytical approaches and tools relevant to Navy R&D and acquisition environments.
- Work cross-functionally with government program managers, engineers, analysts, and contractors across NAVAIR and other SYSCOMs.
- Prepare technical documentation, briefings, and executive-level summaries to communicate findings and recommendations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Acquisition is preferred plus 3 years of experience.
- Experience supporting government acquisition related tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Proficiency in standard office tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint).
- Basic data management and tracking skills.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision and follow established procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
