About the role

  • Based in Brussels and integrated in the company Development team working closely with a major client’s IT team on site
  • Collect business requirements and develop advanced data mining, machine learning and business intelligence solutions or identify and deploy relevant existing solutions
  • Specify and design presentation interfaces with optimal usability/user experience
  • Identify, collect, convert and update different data types/sets across locations (ETL)
  • Produce data models according to specific problem statements
  • Perform scripting and programming tasks
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the analytics architecture and solution stack (performance, physical design, capacity)
  • Write documentation and liaise with other project teams to address cross-project interdependencies

Requirements

  • University degree in IT or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT
  • Experience with languages like R, Python, PERL
  • Experience with front-end development (e.g. Angular)
  • Excellent knowledge of Data Analytics techniques and tools
  • Good knowledge of Oracle and SQL tooling (NoSQL DB, MongoDB, Hadoop, SQL)
  • Good knowledge of continuous code delivery and unit testing
  • Good knowledge of business intelligence tools (Tableau, SAS, SAP, GoodData…)
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and tools
  • Knowledge of architectural design and implementation of scalable modern data stores
  • Excellent command of the English language
