About the role
- Responsible for the smooth operation, monitoring, and performance optimization of SAP systems
- Planning and performing regular maintenance tasks, applying patches, support packages, and release updates
- Performing system copies, client copies, and setting up new SAP instances
- Administration and support of the underlying Linux base systems (Red Hat) that host the SAP applications
- Active participation in IT projects and development of concepts to automate operational processes
Requirements
- University degree in (business) informatics/computer science or equivalent education and/or relevant professional experience
- Several years of solid experience in SAP Basis administration and consulting
- Expertise in administering Linux operating systems
- Scripting skills are a plus
- Experience operating and maintaining clustered SAP system landscapes
- Practical experience with or in-depth knowledge of the SAP HANA database
- Structured, solution-oriented working style, high self-motivation, and strong communication skills
