About the role

  • Responsible for the smooth operation, monitoring, and performance optimization of SAP systems
  • Planning and performing regular maintenance tasks, applying patches, support packages, and release updates
  • Performing system copies, client copies, and setting up new SAP instances
  • Administration and support of the underlying Linux base systems (Red Hat) that host the SAP applications
  • Active participation in IT projects and development of concepts to automate operational processes

Requirements

  • University degree in (business) informatics/computer science or equivalent education and/or relevant professional experience
  • Several years of solid experience in SAP Basis administration and consulting
  • Expertise in administering Linux operating systems
  • Scripting skills are a plus
  • Experience operating and maintaining clustered SAP system landscapes
  • Practical experience with or in-depth knowledge of the SAP HANA database
  • Structured, solution-oriented working style, high self-motivation, and strong communication skills
