About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own platform and product engineering for the Total Service Cloud ERP across TypeScript/Node, React, Express, Drizzle ORM on PostgreSQL, Vite, Vitest, and Playwright
Drive functional parity between the legacy desktop ERP and cloud platform across Payroll, AR, AP, GL, Job Cost, Inventory, Dispatch, Sales, Purchasing, Reporting, and Banking
Own correctness for general-ledger posting and reversals, payroll tax wage bases, US and Canadian tax handling, multi-tenant isolation, and permission enforcement
Author and enforce ERP-wide UX standards
Maintain continuity of legacy systems, including the Java/Spring service layer and VB6 desktop ERP
Own cloud architecture and operations across Azure and AWS for a multi-tenant customer fleet
Manage CI/CD, blue-green UAT, masked databases, deploy gates, and slot-swap workflows
Own cloud spend, forecasting, and optimization backlog
Lead production incident response, root-cause analysis, fleet-wide architectural decisions, and uptime accountability
Own the legacy-to-cloud migration program, including tenant matrices, Python/SQL Server to PostgreSQL ETL, schema canonicalization, and data-fidelity reconciliation
Manage customer production imports, go-lives, and escalation of migration data issues
Coordinate the decommissioning path for the legacy platform
Architect and operate the multi-agent development pipeline from ClickUp through Claude Code to GitHub PR
Own the results of AI-assisted output and support internal automation, QA triage, and developer tooling experiments
Represent the business unit on AI in the SDLC internally and across Constellation group companies
Lead the engineering team through standups, technical syncs, specifications, work allocation, reviews, and merge/release gatekeeping
Direct QA and contractor staffing and resourcing
Run customer-facing onboarding and go-live for named accounts
Report R&D and AI initiatives to Jonas/Constellation and participate in cross-business-unit technical forums
Evaluate vendors and drive business-unit IT, security, and tenancy decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior full-stack engineering depth in TypeScript/Node, React, Express, and an ORM against PostgreSQL, with demonstrated ownership of a production application at meaningful scale
Strong backend correctness discipline in financial or accounting domains such as GL, AR/AP, payroll, or tax
Experience with multi-tenant SaaS security, including authorization and tenant isolation
Substantial cloud engineering experience on Azure and/or AWS
Experience with infrastructure-as-code, secrets and identity management, and cloud cost optimization
Data migration and ETL experience at fleet scale, including relational-to-relational migration, schema canonicalization, and reconciliation
DevOps and release engineering experience, including CI/CD, blue-green or slot-based deployment, migration safety, and production incident response
Practical experience with LLM agents or AI-assisted development, with sound judgment about appropriate use
Technical leadership experience, including leading engineers, setting standards, gatekeeping releases, and representing engineering to executives and customers
Comfort working with legacy code and maintaining it while replacing it
Field-service, elevator, door, or HVAC ERP domain experience preferred
Experience inside the Jonas Software / Constellation operating model preferred
Mobile release engineering experience, including Android, Play Console, signing and keystore management, and crash observability preferred
Java or Java/Android maintenance experience preferred
Enterprise identity and tenancy administration, including Entra/SSO, Microsoft 365, and email security tooling preferred
.NET/C# familiarity for auxiliary services preferred
