Associate Teacher, Primary School
Ethos ClassicalPrimary School Associate Teacher supporting lead teachers to create a structured classroom. Helping scholars with foundational skills through small-group instruction and relationship-building.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support daily instruction by reinforcing the lead teacher’s lesson plans
- Lead small groups and provide one-on-one support to scholars
- Assist with classroom management and reinforce consistent routines
- Track student progress and communicate observations to the lead teacher
- Support scholars with lifework, transitions, and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, instructional coaches, and school staff
- Communicate positively and professionally with families when needed
- Participate in professional learning, school events, and traditions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working with elementary-aged scholars (classroom, tutoring, childcare, or similar)
- Ability to support classroom management and follow instructional guidance
- Commitment to high expectations and equity for all scholars
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Teaching certification or paraprofessional license is a plus but not required
