About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a steward of the school’s mission
- Ensure that governance, strategy, and decision-making support scholars' success
- Provide oversight, guidance, and accountability for school leadership
- Actively participate in board meetings, committees, planning sessions, and annual training
- Contribute expertise in finance, law, fundraising, or community leadership
- Engage in fundraising efforts and make a personally meaningful annual contribution
- Collaborate with fellow board members in decision-making
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of leadership and demonstrated impact in Finance, Law, or Fundraising/development
- Experience serving on boards or in prior governance roles preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced degree or relevant professional credentials preferred
