About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach live online classes with clear pedagogy, organization and a focus on the student experience;
- Appropriately use institutional teaching materials and encourage use of the course’s bibliographic references, promoting critical and reflective learning;
- Plan and conduct academic activities aligned with the syllabus and the course’s pedagogical objectives;
- Provide pedagogical mediation and encourage student participation and engagement during classes;
- Meet deadlines established in the academic calendar and respond to requests from course coordination;
- Record attendance, topics covered, assessments and other academic information in the institutional system (SIA) within the defined deadlines;
- Participate in pedagogical meetings, training and institutional initiatives when necessary;
- Uphold academic quality, professional ethics and maintain good relations with students, coordination and institutional staff;
- Make efficient use of the institution’s digital tools, especially Microsoft Teams and academic systems.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualification: Specialization (postgraduate);
- Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree and specialization in undergraduate programs in the area of Information Technology;
- Knowledge and/or experience in databases and related topics;
- Strong communication skills, ability to build rapport with students, adaptability and flexibility;
- Up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject matter;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and comfort using digital educational tools;
- Availability to teach during the evening period, according to the contracted workload;
- Appropriate remote work setup (stable internet connection, computer and a suitable environment for online classes);
- It is essential that the candidate has an up-to-date Lattes CV; this is one of the elimination criteria;
- Desirable: Stricto sensu postgraduate degree (master’s or PhD); knowledge of active methodologies and collaborative learning.
