Project Engineer I
Essential Utilities, Inc.. Provide engineering support to all Divisions and Departments of the Ohio region .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide engineering support to all Divisions and Departments of the Ohio region
- Design and manage assigned projects within Ohio including repair or replacement of tanks, booster stations, lift stations, WTP projects, WWTP projects, regulating vaults, etc.
- Plan for assigned divisions/systems
- Coordinate monthly capital meetings with operational personnel
- Track capital and report to senior management on capital of assigned projects
- Driver/coordinator of the 5-year capital plan for assigned divisions/systems
- Utilize Powerplant and SAP for assigned projects
- Obtain necessary easements for assigned projects
- Approve pay applications and process invoices
- Complete all necessary paperwork needed for accounting to close the project
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required
- Engineer In Training (E.I.T.); or ability to achieve within 12 months of hire
- Professional Engineer license in the State of Ohio (Preferred)
- Two or more years of experience in water and wastewater is preferred
- Knowledge of Ten States Standards, AWWA Standards, WEC Standards
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings
