About the role
- Company: rapidly growing cybersecurity and privacy company protecting consumers online with identity protection, performance optimization, online privacy, and antivirus products.
- Role: Lead and manage accounting operations; ensure timely, accurate financial closes and clean audits.
- Responsibilities: Oversee Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Revenue Recognition; lead audits; enforce accounting policies; supervise accounting team; improve AP/AR processes; provide financial insights.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of revenue recognition principles, revenue waterfalls, and recurring billing cycles.
- Familiarity with online payment processing and OEM partnership structures.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including management responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with audits and ensuring clean audit outcomes.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
