About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide on-site health and safety consulting for a technology-sector client
  • Deliver Health and Safety services and manage incidents and near misses, including stop-work intervention
  • Confirm legal compliance requirements are understood and control programs are implemented and monitored during construction
  • Conduct regular project inspections to promote safe behaviors, good conditions, and safety awareness
  • Provide feedback on overall health and safety performance to regional leadership
  • Develop and implement site-specific Health & Safety plans at a complex project site
  • Perform other Health and Safety-related tasks as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3年以上の建設安全に関する経験 / Minimum 3 years of relevant construction safety experience
  • Native level of Japanese
  • 日常会話レベルの英語 / Intermediate English – written and verbal
  • Experience with hazard recognition / 危険予知活動
  • Experience with incident management / インシデント管理
  • Experience with on-site construction health and safety planning / 工事安全衛生計画書
  • Experience with job hazard analysis / 作業危険性分析
  • Proactive and fast learner
  • Excellent communication skills and good team worker
  • Ability to commute to construction sites
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, health and safety or relevant studies (listed as preferred in the Japanese section, but required in the English section)
  • Preferred: experience at large facilities, consulting experience, project management experience, business-level or higher English, construction management engineer qualification, safety manager qualification, labor safety consultant qualification
