About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead business development and client engagement activities within the Power, Diversified Energy, and Technology sectors
Provide senior technical oversight for biological resources, ecological restoration, habitat conservation, and environmental permitting programs
Support clients through project planning, permitting, construction, and operations phases
Develop and grow key client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services
Mentor and develop technical staff and project managers
Collaborate with ERM partners and service line leaders to support regional and national growth initiatives
Drive project delivery excellence while meeting financial, safety, and quality objectives
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients developing and operating major infrastructure projects
Help expand ERM's market presence and technical capabilities
Deliver complex environmental solutions for energy and infrastructure projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS/MS in environmental science, engineering, or related field
15+ years of progressive experience in environmental consulting
Proven leadership in mitigation and ecorestoration, including endangered species and habitat conservation
Deep understanding of conventional and renewable energy markets in North America
Strong business development track record, generating and delivering multi-million-dollar programs
Expertise in HCPs and regional permitting
Experience establishing mitigation banks and writing vegetation management plans preferred
Existing client relationships in the Power, Diversified Energy and/or Technology sector preferred
Familiarity with utility commissions, regulatory agencies, and emerging sustainability trends preferred
