About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support ERM's global Contaminated Site Management and Hydrogeology teams with site investigation, groundwater assessment, remediation, and environmental consulting services
- Develop leadership capability and support junior colleagues
- Take ownership of technical deliverables while developing client-facing skills
- Perform office duties including report writing, data entry, borehole logs, statistical analysis, data modelling, graphical data presentation, and field program cost estimating
- Ensure team member safety during project operations
- Assist with project management
- Produce environmental desk study, site investigation, and verification reports
- Assist in preparing fee proposals for future work
- Coordinate and communicate with client representatives, subcontractors, and ERM employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in hydrogeology, geology, or a related discipline, focused on ground/groundwater contamination assessment and remediation
- 4 years or more of consulting experience
- Experience in hydrogeology, especially groundwater and contaminant transport modelling, advantageous
- Knowledge or experience of remediation systems and techniques
- Knowledge or experience of project management
- Knowledge or experience of legislation, guidance, and procedures for contaminated land management
- Ability to independently summarize data for investigation reports
- Computer literacy, including proficient MS Office skills
- Strong initiative, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and QA/QC
- Previous experience supporting investigation, risk assessment, or environmental assessment work, with exposure to fieldwork supervision in an Environmental or Water Consultancy, preferred
