About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Acquire land, land rights, licenses, leases, permits, and other documents necessary for construction, operation, and maintenance of facilities
Conduct diverse and complex negotiations with landowners or their designees
Settle complex damage claims related to property damage caused during construction
Search courthouse and other records to determine current property ownership and the extent of ownership interests
Advise and assist in establishing fair market value ranges for land and land rights acquisition
Draft or supervise preparation of rights-of-entry documents, damage claims, contracts, easements, licenses, leases, permits, purchase options, and other project documents
Comply with corporate health and safety policies
Perform other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma
Minimum 3 years of right-of-way experience
Transmission project experience preferred
Active real estate license preferred
Notary public or ability to obtain within 30 days required
IRWA membership is a plus
Solid working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth, ArcGIS, and data management software
Knowledge of real estate values and accepted real estate appraisal practices
Ability to travel regionally
Excellent interpersonal skills and high degree of professionalism
Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications
Valid driver’s license
Must meet criteria identified in Job Demands & Conditions Analysis for Office and Field Positions
