About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead civil and remediation engineering aspects of ERM projects
- Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and opinions of probable costs
- Manage and execute civil and remedial design tasks or projects, including scope, budget, and schedule tracking
- Support remedial design from site investigation through implementation
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to support design development, permitting, and implementation
- Provide leadership in staff development, performance management, and retention
- Support business development through proposal preparation, client relationship management, and cross-selling ERM services
- Contribute to technical innovation and share knowledge across ERM’s global network
- Support client relationships and travel to site visits and client meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or closely related discipline
- 4+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in site remediation and civil design
- Experience with grading, drainage, and stormwater management design
- Experience supporting or leading remedial design from site investigation through implementation
- Experience developing 30%–100% design packages with reports, drawings, technical specifications, and opinions of probable cost
- Experience coordinating environmental, geotechnical, construction, and drafting teams
- Experience working within state or federal remediation frameworks such as CERCLA, MTCA, or solid waste closure programs
- Working knowledge of digital design tools such as Civil 3D and HydroCAD, with ability to direct and review drafting work
- Proven ability to manage projects and lead multi-person teams
- Strong communication, strategic thinking, and mentoring skills
- Ability to support client relationships and contribute to business development
- Ability to travel for site visits and client meetings
- Valid driver’s license and/or ability to operate a company vehicle required
- Not eligible for immigration sponsorship
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain within one year
