About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead civil and remediation engineering aspects of ERM projects
Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and opinions of probable costs
Manage and execute civil and remedial design tasks or projects, including scope, budget, and schedule tracking
Support remedial design from site investigation through implementation
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to support design development, permitting, and implementation
Provide leadership in staff development, performance management, and retention
Support business development through proposal preparation, client relationship management, and cross-selling ERM services
Contribute to technical innovation and share knowledge across ERM’s global network
Support client relationships and travel to site visits and client meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or closely related discipline
4+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in site remediation and civil design
Experience with grading, drainage, and stormwater management design
Experience supporting or leading remedial design from site investigation through implementation
Experience developing 30%–100% design packages with reports, drawings, technical specifications, and opinions of probable cost
Experience coordinating environmental, geotechnical, construction, and drafting teams
Experience working within state or federal remediation frameworks such as CERCLA, MTCA, or solid waste closure programs
Working knowledge of digital design tools such as Civil 3D and HydroCAD, with ability to direct and review drafting work
Proven ability to manage projects and lead multi-person teams
Strong communication, strategic thinking, and mentoring skills
Ability to support client relationships and contribute to business development
Ability to travel for site visits and client meetings
Valid driver’s license and/or ability to operate a company vehicle required
Not eligible for immigration sponsorship
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain within one year
